The public has a right to know.

The Florida Constitution provides that “[e]very person has the right to inspect or copy any public record. . . .” Fla. Const. art. I, § 24(a). Because Floridians enjoy — with some exceptions — a constitutional right to public records, you’d think you wouldn’t need a lawyer to get them. But that’s not always the case.

We help our clients request public records under the Florida Public Records Act and Freedom of Information Act. When necessary, we litigate against the government to ensure compliance.
