Alicia Quesada is a trial paralegal and Miami native whose interest in the criminal justice system started at a very young age. As a child, Alicia grew up visiting the Public Defender’s office where her aunt Annie has worked for three decades. After years of volunteering to seal and expunge individuals records with the Public Defender’s office, Alicia was chosen to work alongside a select few of Assistant Public Defenders as a legal assistant for the Capital Litigation Unit.

Alicia’s desire to learn the inner workings of the Criminal Justice system extended to the classrooms at Florida International University, where Alicia obtained a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice with a Pre Law Certificate and a Minor in English. While working and studying full time, Alicia also volunteered with the Miami-Dade branch of the Guardian Ad Litem program, assisting attorneys with placement and unification of c families. Alicia has also worked for personal injury attorneys and assisted partners throughout the early to trial stages of cases. Alicia’s passion has always been to provide assistance to attorneys who strive for justice on a regular basis and she continues her work here at Slater Legal PLLC.

When Alicia is not reading or working, she can be found riding a road bicycle through the streets of Coconut Grove, volunteering at the local animal shelter, or shooting analog film photography alongside her Great Dane, Scooby.
